Duke makes Okonoboh's Top Five

Since offering Goodluck Okonoboh in June, the Duke coaching staff tracked the 6'9" power forward throughout the July evaluation period. Mike Krzyzewski and Steve Wojciechowski watched Vin Pastore's Mass Rivals squad in the Adidas Nations event in Indianapolis and Nate James took in his first day of action at the Hoop Group events in Philadelphia. Jeff Capel and Jon Scheyer watched Okonoboh in Las Vegas as well.

Their hard work paid off today when 247Sports.com's 15th-ranked player in the Class of 2014 included the Blue Devils in his final five schools. Joining Duke are Indiana, Ohio State, UNLV and Florida. The news was first reported by ESPN's Adam Finkelstein.

Expect all the remaining contenders to receive official visits. One potential date for Duke's visit will be when Okonoboh is in the Raleigh area this December 26-28 with his Wilbraham and Monson Academy team at the HighSchoolOT Tourney.

In a text, Okonoboh stated that it feels "too good" to cut his list down. "I can do three back flips".
