Good point, especially the fact that he walked off the court in the middle of practice to lose his starting spot. Although, while Pastner is a great recruiter, he had a reputation for not being a great practice and game coach. I think, of everything else came together, K wouldn't have a problem working with him.
Duke isn't going to take big body just to take a big body. Has to be the right fit.
I'm not seeing this one.
Could Gueye from Alabama be a possibility?
One to keep an eye on. Not sure his talent level is where it needs to be though.
soft around the basket with no offensive game. honestly don't ever remember seeing moousa dunk the ball. the only skill he has is blocking some shots.

As Adam mentioned, Duke shouldn't take a body, just to take a body. It doesn't sound like the kid from Alabama offers anything more than what Duke already has on campus.
Personally, I hope Duke doesn't take in anyone else. I think MP3 is going to be a different player next year and be just what next year's team needs. I also think that taking on an extra player will stunt Amile, Alex, and Semi's growth.
Jeff Goodman of CBS just tweeted this:
@GoodmanCBS: Tarik Black drawing interest from Duke, Kansas, Marquette, Miami, Tenn., FSU, UMass, 20 others -- per his AAU coach Eric Robinson.
Obviously we have to keep the source (his AAU coach) in mind, but this ain't nothing.
You're fast! Was just coming here to post that.
Interesting to see that. I'm still digging around, trying to find out whatever I can. I still don't see it going anywhere based on his reported attitude issues, but we will see.
Strong interest in Black right now. Will know more in the next couple days whether this will go anywhere.
Thanks Mark. Very interesting.
Looking forward to it, boss man!!!
I'd love to add him since we are so thin (no pun intended) in the middle. If he's a cancer, then that's a different story. Not sure that K would take a 5th year problem.
I haven't given up on Marshall. I just dont expect him to be a stud next year. I expect a big rotation between him, Amile, Hairston, Parker, Murphy, and I'd like another big guy. Marshall hopefully realizes his role and comes out as a good defender and rebounder next year. Its really all we need from that position
Agreed. I just think we could use another body down low for one season. A big 5th year guy that can give us minutes.
Marshall definitely understands he is a grunt worker who needs to defend the rim, rebound, set screens, and get the occasional bucket off a dime or offensive putback.
Whether he can do that on a consistent basis remains to be seen.
After the whole Mike Rice fiasco, I'm hesitant to label any player as having an attitude problem. You just never know what's going on behind the scenes that would turn a player against his own coach/team.
Hearing Michigan F/C Jordan Morgan may be looking to transfer. Any possible interest?
He's a bum. Helps he is big, but not good at all. Hope we can do better than that
Why is Morgan a bum? He was on the Big Ten All-Defensive Team.
He's a redshirt junior, so likely has graduated by now.
Yeah, he is very strong, carves out space, rebounds fairly well. Just not a huge shot blocker.
Yep... Wouldn't mind Morgan....
Totally disagree on him being a bum. Before his ankle injury kept him out most of February he was a productive starter on a team that started the season 16-0. In fact, in the 5 games after his injury they went 2-3. Before his injury he was averaging more than 20mpg, 6.7ppg (on 63% shooting from the field), and 5.4rpb. Obviously it's early in the process, but combine those stats with the fact that he was Big Ten All-Defensive Team and that would be a GREAT addition for us inside.
I think people forget that we aren't looking for a replacement for Mason's production. We are looking for someone who will compliment our loaded 1-4 positions. In that sense, Morgan would be a really good fit as a guy who can run the floor, finish under the basket, and play great defense.
