    Red Storm Wins Weekend Series

    The Easter weekend wasn’t particularly kind to the Bearcat baseball team as the squad lost two of three to St. John’s. Cincinnati dropped the opening game of Thursday’s double-header 6-5 but bounced back to take the second game by the same score. UC lost the rubber game 7-4 on Saturday afternoon. The Bearcats’ overall record drops to 9-15 with a 1-5 conference record while St. John’s improved to 10-15 overall and 2-4 in the league. More

    The Bearcat baseball team got off to a poor start in the Big East Conference by losing all three games last weekend to USF. The magic number for the Bulls was “eight” as they swept the series by scores of 8-3, 8-4 and 8-5, but on Tuesday afternoon, the Bearcats bounced back with a 4-1 win over Ohio University.

    The 2013 Bearcat baseball team’s first win of the season came on the last pitch of the First Pitch Invitational in Greenville, South Carolina last weekend when Colin Hawk was hit by a pitch in the bottom of the 10th inning forcing in the winning run to beat Western Carolina 7-6. Redshirt freshman Brian Chenoweth got the win after pitching 1.1 innings of no-hit baseball. More
